cast on 17 stitches

seed stitch:
row 1: knit one, purl one
row 2: knit purl stitches, purl knit stitches

row 1: purl two, knit to last two stitches, purl two
row 2: knit two, purl to last two stiches, knit two
row 3: purl two, seed stitch to last two stitches, purl two
row 4: knit two seed stitch to last two stitches, knit two

repeat rows 1-2 three times
repeat rows 3-4 three times

repeat to desires length
bind off

optional: add fringe in varying lengths for a little funk
